Thanks for the helpful info.  I submitted my request and as a senior citizen on a fixed income I complained and told them I want my cellphone costs (paid for minutes) reimbursed to me for the 25+ attempts they made at reaching me day and night!Your help is great!  Have a wonderful holiday.

Thank you for the info. The Do Not Contact Request form asks for name and email address. I will not provide them with anymore personal information beyond the phone number they already have. It's their dime not mine. My automated voicemail message kicks them out in a second.
Report by Maria Long ago Unknown
On their website they give you an opt out form that you can fill out but it does not work. Apparently when you leave your personal info they keep calling daily, sometimes multiple times per day. I will report them to the BBB and if that does not work I'll file a police report for harassment. In my opinion it is only a ploy to get people's personal information.

Thanks Brenda.  I just filled out the form.  As one post already pointed out, they do ask for an email.   I created a temporary email that I can dispose of in case I get spam on that.   I keep my cell phone number very protected and very rarely give it out.  I would LOVE to know how they got my number.  While on their site, I noticed there is a fax number... one for the Michigan address where their calls come from.  I wonder if they use digital fax or an old fashioned fax with paper and ink.  Either way, constant faxes are annoying... but paper and ink all black faxes get the recipient's attention!.  I am going to create an all black sheet of paper (in case they have a paper and ink fax system) with a little box in the middle with a message: Do Not Contact and put in my phone number.) This works great for unwanted faxes as well.  I will send it from my office where I can set my digital pbx  phone system to block any incoming numbers I want.  Here's the fax number if anyone else wants to try it: Livonia, MIMarket Strategies InternationalCorporate Headquarters 17430 College ParkwayLivonia, MI 48152Phone: 734.542.7600Fax: 734.542.7620

Brenda, you are a fool, or you work for them. The 'Do Not Call' List is controlled by law, and says that if you are not a customer, nor have been a customer for the preceding 12-months, of the company calling, or you have not contractually given authorization for that company to explicitly call you, then they MUST abide by the 'no cold calls' rule. They cannot initiate calls without response.People, you do NOT have to give them anything, other than to state that they are NOT to call the number that you give them. If they refuse to list you, then ensure that their company is listed with your state Do Not Call, or Federal Do Not Call listing admin. If they persist, contact your local district attorney regarding violation of the Do Not Call Law, and ask for them to pursue the matter.Don't give parasites the benefit of a doubt - pursue them to the full extent that the law allows.

I reported them to the BBB online. I hope something is done about them. You know they are a dishonest scam company if they refuse to stop calling and they never leave messages. Kind of like those stories you hear about con artists fresh out of prison starting up collection agencies and scamming people to pay "past due bills" that they don't even owe. :(
Report by Angry at Chronic Callers Long ago Unknown
It's not as simple as you make it seem: they won't remove your number from their calling list unless you give them your personal info, and I simply do not trust them with that.  They demand your name and email address in addition to the phone number you want removed.I'm sorry, but I don't think they should get my personal info just to get my phone number off their list.  When they call again, I'm just going to tell them to remove my number from their database and see how that works.

These crooks are professional privacy invaders, if there was any doubt the website removal should completely eliminate it. You want to know what kind of subhumans you're dealing with? Just look at the posts on this page from "Patricia Kelly" who is apparently a professional privacy invader who hones her sociopathic skills on the phone and on this site too.Blow a loud whistle in the phone when you get one of these subhumans on the phone. If they don't get it the first time, REPEAT. Nothing says STOP CALLING FOREVER like the whistle -- nothing. Although I hear an airhorn works pretty well too.

They called for a "survey" related to an inquiry that "I had placed with my power company".  I was polite and said that I have never placed an inquiry.  The woman was pushing telling me that I must have had a concern on recent bill. Said, no.  She then told me that I would be required to hold that she would return with a reason for the call.  Please, being placed on hold by a "survey".  Told her for privacy reasons any inquiries that I ever placed are not discussed with random people calling me that are clearly not associated with an organization that I do business with.  As I have never called or emailed my utility company since the initial order; this company is trying to obtain personal information - very concerning.  Beware -

Yes, the Do Not Call list DOES apply to this Company. If it were a Charity it would be okay, and even then when you call and your Company is a Charity you still have to take them off the list. You know who gives our phone number out the most? The Telephone Company!!! They all make money giving out our numbers. It doesn`t matter if it is unlisted or not, they still give it out. I have Caller ID, I just don`t answer it.Plus the computerized ones go numerically, so it doesn`t matter, unless the person on the other end harrasses you, then you can report them.

The problem with callers such as this is they don't quit.   I have record from my Caller ID of 6 different attempts to reach me within 24 hours.  2 of those where while I was at home, but on the other phone line with a family member and I didn't break the call waiting to answer an unfamiliar number.   I like most people have a VM system on my phone and anyone calling can leave me a message at anytime with a contact number that I may return their call if I feel it is important, and if I do not, I would not return it, which should also be treated as a lack of interest in said Survey, Merchandise, Opinion or what not.

LOL  I find it funny that SOOOOoo many people find a phone call such a "disturbing invasion of privacy".  Join the DNCL, sure... makes sense.  But if you don't pay your bills, shame on you.  All other calls, like this one, have fun with it if you don't have the "balls" to go to their website and say no-thanks!  Me, I just play various foreign Yahoo audibles and see what the caller says.  Jeeeeze o Peeee... can't answer and then hang up?  Can't say 'no thanks'?  Heck, just lay the phone down, walk away, come back later.  You guys act like you're held prisoner because someone's calling!???  The only useful thing about this website is to find out particulars of numbers you don't recognize.  That's all.

Simple - YOU HAVE TO REPORT the unwanted calls to the DONOTCALL website - for some reason you seem to think that the DONOTCALL staff already knows they are calling you.  They cannot know that you are receiving unwanted calls until YOU report them.   Remember that illegitimate companies and scam artists won't respect these lists.

Yes, but by going to their web site and entering the information for their do-not-call list, you are GIVING them the information that your name and email address matches your phone number.  I don't agree that they should be given this information.  Just the phone number should be enough (but isn't).
Report by MPC Long ago Unknown
I'm just curious if you have received and refused to answer, thrown out or have had anything to do with the American Community Survey that was sent by mail from the census bureau? I have been receiving calls from Indiana, Michigan, New york, Voxbone/Albany, Illinois, Census Bureau, Mass Med Study, Out of State, Out of area, Insurance (as listed on my caller id), etc for several days now, especially today starting at 9 am EST. They are relentless and I just wanted to know is these call coincide with this American (un-American if you as me) Community Survey and if anyone besides myself has noticed this correlation.

If they are conducting surveys, then why do they hand up every time I answer?  They call at least 6 times per day and when I answer, they hang up.  If I don't answer, they don't leave a message.  What's the point in their calling?

28 times. They called me at 9:38 PM, my family was already in bed and their call was quite unsolicited and unwelcome. Since I have extra airtime, I hit the call back button 28 times. It takes 26 seconds for the entire response to complete and for them to hang back up on me. I don't like unsolicited calls. I don't appreciate being interrupted at bed time. And I don't like being manipulated to pointing my browser to their website and take a risk of having them drop a tracking cookie on my computer or something.

Market Research is worse than telemarketing, dear. They want to get free, often personal information to sell to other companies to make money off me. I get nothing. They get money for MY information.....I have done telemarketing and do not blame the people making the calls....they are often desperate for money and on the lowest end of most payscales BUT that does not make it better for your victims.....been on both sides and at least the telemarketer is clearly trying to get my money in exchange for goods....not just make money off me in a freebie.
Report by Both Barrels Blazing Long ago Unknown
You telemarketer s**** want to disturb me? Go ahead! I'll play along with your scheme as long as it takes. I'll waste your time, believe me that's a prime joy! You have NO right burning up my telephone's ringer day in and day out. Even on Sunday's, the only day I have to myself I got slammed by you a***ole's who are ALL con-artists. I'm no fool. I know all about your cheap, sleazy, tactics of trying to extort case sensative information from some ignorant sap who'll fall into your web's of deciet. You want to defend your merry ways with your little headset on just hoping some retard will answer you. Bingo! You got the information you where phishing for! Oh, in full glory you've got someone's checking account number, perhaps credit card numbers, and, the crowning glory, you've just sukcered someone into giving you their social security number! Aren't you happy! Hip, hip horray! You telemarketer's are ALL frauds. Most people aren't cretins, therefore they don't buy into telemarketer's b***s***. However, all it takes is one dullard to pick up their phone and believe the b***s*** they're being slung at them! There goes their identity! Bye, bye!!!

Patricia,  Thank you for the "other side of the fence" view.  We think of this all the time when We get these unwanted calls but since we "inherited" this phone number over 5 yrs ago, we got buried with the previous owner's debt collection calls and this owner had a lot of creditors and still continues to use our phone number.  It would be risky changing the number because it may be worse than the 5-10 calls per month for this low life and his wife. If we do answer the phone, we explain to the caller that these people have not had this number for over 5yrs and to remove our number immediately from their calling list, and call the local police department.  It's great when we go for days without calls from marketing, scammers and political calls.  We love our privacy but so far this month, we've logged over 30 calls and that's 30 that we did not answer.  We should have the option as to be on call list or not and that's why we voice on this site.  It shows that we are not alone. As far as your SS case, have you considered going Congressional? Or, obtaining a SS advocate?  Contact AARP.
Report by STFU PATRICIA KELLY Long ago Unknown
Bottom line is you don't have a right to call anybody that doesn't want to be called,  If I tell you the first time you call that I don't want to be called again then as far as I'm concerned I'd now better be on your no call list.  Continuing to call people who have told you not to call whether the DNC list applies or not is considered harrassment and can be prosecuted whether you are a survey company, non profit or anything else not covered by the DNC.  YOU DO NOT HAVE CARTE BLANCH TO KEEP CALLING AFTER THAT PERIOD.You sound like a stupid entitled whiney liberal who thinks the world owes you something.
Report by mary Long ago Unknown
My goodness Kelley, you are certainly bitter.  The fact remains, people do not want to be called.  The key term is "called."  If people want to give their opinions or have their voices heard, they will choose to do so.  That means, they will CALL YOU...not the other way 'round.  I sometimes answer surveys on the internet or that I've received in the mail because they do not represent and inconvenience nor a bother.  I am not "forced" to get up from a meal and answer the phone.  I am not "forced" to answer a million questions as read by someone whose identity I cannot verify...etc.  I can choose to ignore a letter or an email but a ringing telephone does not afford that choice.  You are essentially saying "here we are" you must deal with us in some way...NO I will not.  I have blocked all calls except those that I want to receive.  I have a call blocker that holds 2,700 phone numbers...more than enough.  Now...as for all your "disabilities."  If you see yourself as disabled..you are...There are thousands of jobs available for online and for those who can do nothing but use a telephone.  Contact your local job service and request a meeting.  You'll find something else I'm sure..as for having to pay your disability and welfare...well perhaps that's better than having you annoy us.
Report by Take the hint Long ago Unknown
Patty, take the hint.... NO ONE wants you to call (bug) them. Haven't you ever heard of the phrase, "don't call us..., we'll...."? There is NO reason what-so-ever that WE want YOU to contact us. With the power of the Internet we can get any information/service/advice we want, we do NOT need anyone bothering us. I noticed YOU never gave out YOUR phone number (whether it's a Seinfeld skit or not, it's true). Leave us alone... we do NOT require any of your service... are you getting any of this? Got it!

If you go to the official FTC website DoNOTCALL.gov Market Research companies, political polls, charities and any company you have done business with in the past 18 months are 100% exempt from the No Call List. If you click on the tab on this site that says exemptions to the list it tells you in black and white. We do not have to buy the list from the government and download it like the telemarketers do. Of course when you try to educate them about they will say every time "I do not care" many times. That is why the world is so messed up because people are selfish and have this "I do not care" attitude.  I have on and off worked in call centers for 15 years. We are not trying to sell ANYTHING nor rip any one off and never have. The call center I work at has been in business for 35 years and if they had ripped anyone off or tried to sell anything we would not still be in business now. People need jobs. As of two days the unemployment rate is highter than it has been in 34 years. People just want to believe because they are selfish and uneducated that thsi applies to ALL CALLS. The news media made it to where everyone believes it applies to all calls. I've even talked to people that say they even tell their dentist, unemployemnt office and stores not to call them even to verify an appointment or if something they want has came in.If they are going to be like that and jerks then they do not deserve to be helped in any relm of customer service. The bottom line is this-you can be mean, cruel, yelling, mean and nasty or whatever but it is not going to change anything at all. The federal government depends on Market Research companies for all their studies and work and that is the purpose for the exemptions. I am disabled and have been since 1999 and have a  year college degree and cannot get any other type of work due to cognitive, coordinational as well and mental and physical disabilities. I have been fighting with SS for 9 years and have to work until I am able to win my case. I have no other choice, otherwise I will die. It is not as if I can crawl under a bridge somewhere. People like me which I work with quite a few of them that are challenged, need these jobs to be able to survive. I did not sign this petition to the law and saw it and it clearly said the law applied to "sales calls only"/telemarketers. People in Market Research are not telemarketers nor do they "solicit" anything. If we do not work we do not pay taxes which you will have to pay and not me- nor will we be paying into unemployment which would cause the amount available to you when you are out of a job to go down as well. Think about this when you are yelling and screaming and being rude to us.

Thanks for the info! I got a call from this number, then went online and saw that I wasn't the only one. An hour later, they called again. I answered the phone and said, "Take me off your list immediately. (SILENCE ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE). "Immediately," I said. (SILENCE) "Immediately," I said again. A woman's voice on the other end said, "Yep, I'm doing that right now, ma'am. Have a good day."No one has to put up with these unwanted phone calls from people like this. Don't put up with it. Tell them to stop.

.aspx says it all.  Any company that uses Microsucks as a business platform . . . well, sucks.  LOL!!To get off their list I have to provide my name and email in addition to my phone?  Absolutely NOT!!  When I get these calls, I answer and immediately hang up.  Takes two seconds.
Report by lyn Long ago Unknown
I don't respond to them (tm calls) because even if you are only asking them to NOT call you ...they now know that this is a good number and sell your number to other jerks. I mark them in my address book as scam and just don't answer. EVER.
Report by RandomPhoneNumber Long ago Unknown
Most of these companies are so unprofessional and not too far removed from the lot of thieves.  DW got itright. The "remove from list" option is used by many to simply get more verified information,....or at leastto confirm your phone number. Most of their "business" is scamming like "free" gift certificates, so do youthink they'll respect a "DO NOT CALL!" list? The best action is to never answer and if they happen to get you on the phone, hang up without saying or buying anything.
Report by DW Long ago Unknown
Thanks for this info.  The only thing is, the link has several required fields that add up to your giving them MORE info:  your name, email address etc.  Theoretically this is so they can verify and confirm they've taken you off the list.  But I'm sure that info is quite salable! I decided not to opt out thru them. I'll block their number on my phone itself. ;-)

The one who called me was mumbling so badly I couldn't tell if it was a male or female. This is the 2nd highly unprofessional telemarketer from their organization that I've spoken with. If I get one who doesn't find some lame excuse to get off the phone I'll be sure to make up a pack of lies in response to any questions. This outfit clearly does not act reputably.

The person calling our number said he was doing something about the high cost of energy and wanted to know what company we got our supply from.  With that I hung up but being put on the do not call list sounds like a plan
Report by Peeko Long ago Unknown
I finally took their call since it was obvious they weren't going to stop calling our office until I did.  They had my name, and wanted me to complete their survey about shipping.  I asked who contracted them to do the survey and she refused to identify them, saying it was for "all of the shipping companies".  Pfft.  Also, some of the questions were out of line, like asking how much our company spent on shipping last year.  I refused to answer those questions. At the end of the survey, she made an offer to participate in a more detailed survey online in exchange for a $35 gift certificate, good at over 300 online retailers.  I declined.Something fishy about this, but we'll see.  If I start getting slammed with telemarketing from freight companies, I will know who to seek recourse from.  The caller was adamant they would not sell my name and number to other companies.

So I have been harassed by the Yellow US Pages also. Has anyone looked up the actual listing? My company is not even listed for this said service that they would like to collect charges for. However they do have my P.O. Box number with a  my competitors business name and phone number. I am filing a complaint with the BBB to avoid future harassment and wasted time.

Yellow US Pages.I looked for their website and found that there really is a "YellowUSPages.com" but the site doesn't work right. Like it doesn't search for your city unless you put the state, but the real yellow pages makes allowances for that.I looked more and found a single entry on RipOffReport. I'm surprised that so many people having trouble with them haven't made more, but read what it says on that report.Apparently, they won't actually add your listing to their shoddy directory, and they may ignore your phone calls if you try to cancel.Scary Stuff.

They called and she kept saying after asked 3x, she was with the real yellow pages.Promised a free ad for two months online to prove they are the best online marketing solution. After that it would be$70/mth, LOOOOONG bullsh**spiel with heavy, heavy accent and mispronunciations. This was after I verified my listings.  Red flags beyond the above included them promising #1 spot on google, yahoo, bing!then she wanted me to transfer to a Quality Assistance or something similar personnel so I could get the 800 number and the password for the "free" program.  By that time I had had enough.  I told her it sounded like a bullsh**company and that if they really wanted to give me something free they shouldn't take so much of my time and they shouldn't make it so difficult.  I told her I thought they were trying to get me into some sort of sales process.I ended the call saying, "if you want to give me something free, then do it.  If not, I'll be fine too."SCAMMMMMMMM.

Yup. Same here. When they ask to speak with the "owner" I just tell them that if they can't look up the name of the owner, then don't get to speak with him/me.Funny thing is when I call back I get an option to press 1 to have my number removed. After that, it says if you want to be called back in next couple days, just hang up. So what do I do? I pressed 1 and hung up. Bet I get a call back tomorrow. Asshats.

I called the number back and at least they had the honesty to admit that "if you received a call earlier in the day, it is one of our sales agents..."  and also gave you the opportunity to "Press 1" if you wanted to be taken off the list. Not that I believe them, many times Pressing 1 is just a way for them to verify that its a working phone number.    The best way to stop the calls is to report them to the Do not call list registry as a violator.   It takes some time and effort but these guys wouldn't stop till you do.

OK so I got brave and returned the call to 9173989758.  First I was told to press 1 to receive a free Wal-Mart card then many options to block call are offered.  I pressed 1 and waited through way to many minutes listening to bad music till James answered offering a $100 Wal-Mart card and the use of 2 discount programs for 30 days for just $5.90.  The discount savings program offers a 40% discount at Wal-Mart, target, best buy staples and other national chain stores. Additionally there was fast food discounts movie discounts although I am not sure it they may be linked to the travel entertainment program hotels airfares auto care.  They say it takes 5 -7 days for the program to arrive in the US Mail, along with the $100 Wal-Mart card, with 30 day use of the program.  They say to call 800 316 9561 to cancel one or both of the programs, other wise your account will be billed $19.95 per month for each of the two programs.  I called and got an apology for the gas rebate error they made and are fixing the problem. I asked about Gas vouchers, and learned that 24 $5 gas vouchers, totaling $120 in free gas at 3 - 4 or 5. 90 for trying out the program then monthly $29.25 to  $19.95  ($14.95 for 12 months if you call and say you cant afford the higher price) which gives you the web site which has coupons ready  to print for free or discounted groceries’, movie tickets two for one fast food certificates etc.  It sounds like was gas vouchers before it was Wal-Mart cards.  Considering the apology, I think I want to wait a bit before I call to find out about the program, and will call the 800 number and get it reduced to the 14.95 as soon as I get it.  It could be for real but I did not want to risk even $6.00 today.  After payday I may call them back.
